ABOUT NOSD

The mission of the New Orleans Society of Dance is to embody, encourage and expose the culture and heritage of women's folk arts. The strategic skill of dance production and performance is our passion. We are fully dedicated to the enhancement of the cultural arts landscape of our city and state. With more than a decade of set production experience, our creative professionals cater to arts and entertainment patrons helping facilitate artist development, custom dance-acts, film & video productions, public programs and bespoke events. As a community centered dance-company, NOSD identifies, develops and helps to enrich the professional careers of bourgeoning dance artists.

1.) DANCE-PRODUCTION SERVICES – Including, yet not limited to the upmost quality in specialty dance-talent recruitment, dance-production coordinating, dance-talent castings & acquisition *SERVICES*.


2.) CULTURAL ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT - The Company's signature Ensemble, “Millisia White’s New Orleans *BABY DOLL LADIES  is an American-Southern masking, chant & dance act for which the New Orleans Society of Dance is renowned. We specialize in clandestine appearances, tailored specifically for your drive by, live indoor and, or outdoor themed event(s).


3.) OUTREACH – We seek to embrace strategic partnerships across movements while making lasting connections, and building rapport, allowing new ideas with a focus on dance education,  cultural arts, and social justice to continue developing.


Est. 2005, NOSD is Louisiana’s culturally
centered dance company.
